The preschool phonology program is designed for children ages 3-5 who are experiencing significant difficulty learning and producing speech sounds. Phonological disorders focus on predictable, rule-based errors that affect more than one sound. The Neenah Joint School District (NJSD) Phonology Program works on different speech patterns. Children in the Phonology Program will participate in activities that provide a focused repetion on a specific speech pattern.
A phonological assessment is administered prior to determine eligibility in the Phonology Program. Qualifying students receive services through an Individual Education Plan (IEP). An IEP is a plan that identifies a student's educational needs, contains learning goals based on the student's needs, and describes the services a student will receive.
