One of the primary goals of the TEC program is to prepare students for a job and volunteer opportunities after completing school. Below are some of the activities in which TEC program students participate in to prepare for their working life.
- Students learn the process and etiquette of riding the city bus system and other public transportation.
- Students work on job development, online and paper applications, resumes, cover letters, job shadows, etc.
- Students participate in a spectrum of volunteer placements and school-to-work programs with the main focus of earning a paid competitive job.
