NEW classes at NHS!
Ninth graders may now take Pre-AP® English 1, and tenth graders may take Pre-AP® English 2. These courses deliver high quality, grade level appropriate instruction. Pre-AP challenges students to build critical thinking skills through close analysis, evidence-based writing, higher order questioning, and academic conversations. These skills help prepare ALL students for advanced coursework as juniors, seniors, and beyond high school.

Important: if you are in an AP class, you are automatically registered to take the exam in May (and you're responsible for the payment).
If you do NOT want to take the exam, you and your parent/guardian must complete the OPT-OUT form (get one from your AP teacher) and return it to Ms. Simonis, testing coordinator NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 30.

AP Exam Schedule 2025
Courses listed in black are digital exams, red font are hybrid exams and blue is paper with audio components.
Does your student have documented accommodations for taking tests? Those accommodations may not automatically be approved for AP® exams. Even if your student is approved for ACT accommodations, you must still apply for AP accommodations. Check with Ms. Simonis (x16757) in Room 757 if you have questions about your student's status. Obtaining approval for accommodations is a lengthy process which needs to begin by late fall in order to meet College Board deadlines.
HOME-SCHOOLED STUDENTS AND STUDENTS FROM OTHER SCHOOL DISTRICTS: We welcome you to test at NHS SUBJECT TO AVAILABLE SPACE and SUBJECT EXAMS being administered in a particular year. Not all exams listed will necessarily be administered. Be aware that College Board policies allow for additional fees to be charged for students not attending NHS. You should contact Ms. Simonis (x16757) by mid-September if you wish to apply to take AP® exams at Neenah HS in the spring.
