A 3.0 percent pool of dollars has been allocated for salary increases with a possible additional increase for school report card success and performance stipends for Neenah Joint School District staff members for the 2022-23 school year. The approved increases are estimated at $1.159 million with the potential of up to another $717,231 if the District exceeds expectations on the state report card. Another $100,000 has been allocated for performance-based stipends. All of the recommendations were approved by the Board of Education at its May 3 meeting.
Employees with performance concerns will be provided a lesser salary increase, or no increase. Additionally, employees in all groups without performance concerns who are at the top of their pay range will receive a 2.0 percent increase due to the increase in pay range. The performance stipend will be the same for all employees. Contract renewals for certified and administrative staff for the 2022-23 school year were also approved as part of the plan.
In other action, the Board re-elected Brian Epley as president, Lauri Asbury as vice president and Deb Watry as clerk. Tom Hanby was elected as treasurer and Amy Gunderson will fill the role of secretary until a new Executive Assistant to the Superintendent is hired.
In new hires, Garrett Zimmerman was hired as principal at Roosevelt/Alliance.
