Today is a Day 2
Every year, starting on November 1, Native American Heritage Month is celebrated to honor the remarkable Native Americans who have contributed so much to improve our nation. This month is also referred to as the American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month. This month is a time to celebrate rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and histories and to acknowledge the important contributions of Native people.
This past spring, approximately 1,200 middle school musicians from all over Wisconsin auditioned for only 300 spots in the 2021 Wisconsin Middle Level Honors Music Project band, orchestra, or choir. A huge congratulations to the following Neenah students who who were accepted: Sarah Flannigan, Aria Giddings, Nicholas Kaiser, Zachary Liebeskind, Kathleen Russell, Norah Spanbauer, Rebekah Thomas, Jenny Wang and Tim Zhao. These students participated last weekend in an amazing performance with the Wisconsin State Honors Orchestra, Band or Choir with other top musicians from Wisconsin. Again, congratulations to our Neenah musicians, and thank you for your hard work and wonderful performance!!
