Today is a Day 3
Calling all talented Shattuck students!! You have a few more days to sign up to participate in our first ever virtual talent show! Check Schoology for more details and to sign up.
Attention all Shattuck Students & Staff! Shattuck Middle School is excited to be able to offer a virtual author visit this spring! On April 21, students will have the unique opportunity of listening (via Zoom) to an author speak about their work. Alex Gino is the author of middle grade novels Rick, You Don’t Know Everything, Jilly P!, and the Stonewall Award-winning George. They love glitter, ice cream, gardening, awe-ful puns, and stories that reflect the diversity and complexity of being alive. Alex’s books challenge students to navigate real-world topics -- such as gender identity, allyship, and racial injustice. Alex will be visiting with area students via Zoom in mid-April, and will be speaking for approximately one hour. Appearances usually begin with a 5-10 minute talk, a 5-10 minute read, and then launches into an interactive and individualized question and answer session. Because Alex’s virtual visit is sponsored by the Fox Cities Reads Festival and will have thousands of attendees, all questions will be sent to Alex ahead of time. Alex Gino’s middle-grade novels are available at both Horace Mann and Shattuck libraries and the Neenah Public Library. Happy Reading!
