Wildlife, Culture, and Service in Rwanda
Lead Chaperone: Brian Borchardt
June 2025
This will be Mr. Borchardt’s 9th international trip with students. His passion is travel with a purpose. With service and culture as a central focus, this trip will allow students to immerse themselves in the Rwandan culture and work alongside the local communities to help them complete important projects.
Discover a beautifully biodiverse country focused on reconciliation and education. In Kigali, learn about the Rwandan Civil War and genocide against the Tutsi. Then, spend time getting to know locals in the small village of Giperefe and assisting them in service-driven projects focused on community development and protecting tradition. As communities evolve, so do their needs. That’s why we will work closely with local nonprofits to better understand each community’s issues and then focus projects on creating solutions. Round out your tour by looking for lions, elephants, and giraffes (oh my!) on game drives through Akagera National Park.

Legendary England
Chaperones: Mrs. Lammers and Ms. Hager
June 2025
This is Mrs. Lammers’ and Ms. Hager’s first time collaborating on an international trip. We are both English teachers and are looking forward to heading to England to scratch the surface of the literary history present in this small island nation. In the past, Mrs. Lammers has had travel experiences to Ghana, Spain, and Portugal. Ms Hager has traveled to Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and France. Ms. Hager will also go to Iceland with Mr. Babbitts in the summer of 2024.
Robin Hood. William Shakespeare. The Beatles. During this tour, discover the famous figures and picturesque landscapes that make this England so epic. Explore the Bard’s birthplace in Stratford-upon-Avon, create your own art in muralist Banksy’s hometown of Bristol, and tour Nottingham with Robin Hood as your guide. And of course, London!
