The Neenah Joint School District has transitioned from Schoology to Canvas as our Learning Management System. We encourage you to create a Parent Observer account to follow along with your student’s coursework and assignment due dates. As in the past, final grades and attendance will be posted in Infinite Campus.
To set up your Canvas parent account on a desktop, laptop, or mobile device:
1. Have your child log into their Canvas account from their District issued Chromebook or Chrome Tablet (grades K-1)
2. Click on “Account” in the upper left side of the global navigation.
3. Click on “Settings” and then click on the button on the right side of the screen that is labelled “Pair with Observer”.
4. Write down this pairing code. You will use this pairing code to create your Canvas Parent Observer account.
5. Open up your desktop or mobile web browser, visit, and bookmark: https://neenah.instructure.com/login/canvas
6. Click on the text that reads “Parent of a Canvas User? Click Here for an Account”
7. Fill in the requested information, including the code you wrote down in step 4.
**NJSD staff members must use a personal email address to create a parent Observer account.
To add additional students to your Canvas Parent Observer account:
You can add additional students to your newly created Parent Observer account by clicking on the child dropdown menu in the upper right corner of your Canvas parent dashboard. You will see an option to “Add Student”. Enter in your other child’s pairing code.
