Us2 Behavioral Health’s School-Based Mental Health program provides a mental health therapist for K-12th grade students at NJSD. The on-site therapy is provided by a mental health therapist who specializes in working with children. The Us2 therapists are able to work with children who are experiencing any number of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, grief & loss, family issues, ADHD, and trauma.
Providing therapy at your child’s school has been found to increase the time students are in class learning while also allowing caregivers to spend less time taking their child away from school to drive them to counseling appointments. Having in school counseling has an added benefit in that the school and the counselor can have more frequent collaborations to help the child do better in school.
If you are interested in scheduling an appointment at your school, contact your school counselor or call Us2 Behavioral Health Care: (920) 903-1060
